Normally, the vertical honing machine is an ideal equipment for honing processing. However, if you want to operate this equipment, you need a professional who is proficient in this technology and has received grinding safety training. This is because the operation of this equipment is relatively complicated. If someone who does not understand it operates it, it may cause accidental injury. The following is a brief analysis and introduction of the working principle and honing method of this equipment.

1. Analysis of the working principle of vertical honing machine

When working, the vertical honing machine uses abrasive media to rub under a certain pressure to make the surface of the product smooth and flat. This processing method was originally used to remove burrs or hidden parts in parts. With the advancement of technology and the increase in demand, this technology is now used to polish molds or parts and round the edges.

Honing machines can perform local honing of the required processed products through reciprocating and induction motions, and can also perform high-precision quantitative feeding to achieve automatic product compensation. Grinding machines are divided into fully automatic and semi-automatic types, but semi-automatic grinding machines are more commonly used in current production.

The feed rate required for the honing head can be divided into fixed feed and constant pressure feed. When the feed rate is greater than the actual grinding volume, the cutting capacity of the equipment will be enhanced. If constant pressure feed is used, the operator needs to grasp the appropriate degree and adjust the feed rate in time to successfully complete the required product.

2. Introduction to the grinding method of vertical honing machine

According to the coarseness and size of honing, it can be divided into the following types:

1. The requirements for grinding and grinding the raw materials are generally in the range of 2-5mm in diameter. After the eye mask is made, the diameter can be about 0.1mm. Depending on the degree of grinding, new products with a diameter of less than 0.074mm can also be obtained.

2. Coarse crushing: This level of honing is generally used to process raw materials with a diameter of 40-1500mm, and the diameter of the ground product can be in the range of 5-50mm.

3. Medium and fine crushing: This grade usually processes raw materials with a diameter of 5-50mm, and the resulting products can be as small as 0.1-5mm.

4. Ultra-fine crushing. As a result of this treatment, the original raw material diameter is not coarse, about 0.2mm in diameter. After honing by the honing machine, the product is relatively fine.
